Co-Op Work Placement for Diploma Students

The Diploma level program combines 24 weeks of hospitality, tourism and customer service related study with a 24 week co-op work placement in an entry level front-line cooperative education position in a hospitality, tourism or customer service organization. Through this combination of in-class and practical on-the-job training, students develop their customer service skills, product and industry knowledge, professional skills and leadership aptitudes and soft skills like team work, problem solving, self-management, intercultural communication and collaboration.  In the placement you will apply and develop the essential skills taught in the classroom portion of the program while being supervised by an experienced onsite supervisor. Co-Op positions could include the following:

* Front Desk Receptionist
* Function Attendant
* Function Host
* Restaurant Host/Hostess
* Server/Banquet Server
* Sales Clerk/Customer Service Attendant
* Guest Services Staff
* Concierge
